Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel your order prior to delivery, you need to contact the Sleepdoctor store fulfilling your order to begin the process. Cancellations for change of mind will not be accepted, unless at the absolute discretion of the Sleep Doctor store fulfilling the order. Stock is not always held on hand and once an order is placed with the manufacturer it is then made specifically for you. Changing or cancelling an order that has gone into production may carry a restocking fee of 30% or higher. This amount will be held by the Sleep Doctor Store and will be at the store’s discretion.

 

Order Changes

Refund & Returns Policy

Invoices must be kept, and invoice number must be quoted if a warranty claim is required. If a claim is lodged all transport costs, service calls are at the customer’s expense. Repairs or replacements as applicable is as per manufacturer’s warranty conditions. In the case of a cancellation or refund a deposit fee of 30% or higher of the total cost of the product will be held by Sleep Doctor Bundall. Please email us at bundall@sleep-doctor.com.au if you are not satisfied with your purchase so that we can resolve any problems.

 

Warranty & Guarantees

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be acceptable quality and the failure does not amount of a major failure. Repairs or replacements as applicable is as per manufacturer’s warranty conditions. We do not refund or return for change of mind. However, if you have completed eligibility for our 60 Night Comfort Guarantee you may be able to swap your mattress at a charge.

 

Pick Up / DIY Installation

When picking up goods, it is up to the customer to provide vehicle, ropes or any furniture blankets needed. If you ask a staff member to help load or tie down your load. You the customer is liable; the staff member is not liable for any breakages or the goods coming untied. When installing goods please follow the instructions supplied carefully, if in doubt call the store to ask for any advice needed. If a product is not installed correctly, it will void the products warranty/ guarantee.

 

Delivery & Installation

  • The Sleepdoctor delivery driver is authorised to deliver the goods at the address given to them by the Customer. If the specified address of delivery is unattended or if the driver is otherwise unable to effectively deliver the goods, the customer must pay for all costs and expenses incurred due to additional directions. Failure to notify of cancelled delivery or a no show will result in the customer being charged an additional delivery fee. Even if free delivery was offered on original sale.
  • The Sleepdoctor delivery driver may at any point ask for proof of identity and signature before delivering the goods.
  • If an exception has been made by staff and payment is due at delivery, full payment must be received before unloading products.
  • Sleepdoctor delivery drivers endeavour to deliver your goods on time; however, we ask that you allow a 15-minute buffer either side of your delivery time. If in the event the driver is running late, you will be contacted.
  • Prior to the delivery, the customer must have all walkways and the room cleared & ready to receive the goods, unless communicated with the store prior to delivery.
  • If walkways are not clear or room is not cleared to enable delivery or inhibits the ability to install, the delivery drivers may refuse delivery or installation at their discretion. This will result in the customer being charged an additional delivery or installation fee. Even if free delivery was offered on original sale.
  • Bedding goods delivered (e.g., base or mattress) it will be placed in the allocated position/room instructed by the customer and all rubbish from the delivery will be removed.
  • Furniture goods delivered only, no rubbish will be removed unless the customer has requested and paid for installation or removal of rubbish.
  • When delivering & installing goods they will be installed in the allocated position/room instructed by the customer and all rubbish from the delivery will be removed.
  • Removing an old bed or mattress, it is up to the delivery driver’s discretion as to whether the goods being removed are in a sanitary condition to be taken away.
  • If a delivery cannot be completed safely e.g., products will not fit into lift, products need to be delivered over balcony but cannot be done safely, products cannot be transport upstairs safely or size of product will not fit. Delivery can be refused at delivery drivers’ discretion, if different size product needs to be ordered, the customer must pay for all costs and expenses incurred due. It is not up to the store to know if the purchased products will be able to be delivered correctly & safely.
  • Delivery drivers may decide that a product is not going to fit upstairs, in elevator or over balcony etc. the customer may request the product to be forced in a way that may damage the product. If the product is damaged during this process the store is not at fault for damages of product or customer’s home. Deliver drivers may refuse to complete delivery at their discretion, the customer must pay for all costs and expenses incurred due to redeliver or order different size products.

 

60 Night Comfort Guarantee

Sleep Doctor’s 60 Night Comfort Guarantee is designed to give you peace of mind when purchasing a new mattress. If for any reason, after sleeping on the mattress for a minimum of 14 nights you are not completely happy with your new mattress feel, you can swap it for a new one (terms and conditions apply).

Terms & Conditions

  1. A Sleep Doctor approved stain-resistant mattress protector must be purchased for your mattress at the same time as your mattress and appear on the same invoice. The mattress protector must be used on your mattress for the entirety of the time you have your mattress.
  2. Under the Comfort Guarantee, mattresses are only able to be exchanged after they have been slept on for 14 nights and before 60 nights (inclusive) from the date of your mattress delivery (It can take between 2-4 weeks for your body to adjust to any mattress).
  3. Proof of purchase must be presented to claim an exchange. The mattress Comfort Guarantee is limited to a maximum of two (2) exchanges within the 14 to 60-night period (except as required by law). The Comfort Guarantee exchange must take place at the store from which the mattress being exchanged was originally purchased.
  4. The exchanged mattress must be the same size as the original mattress purchased (e.g., king size mattress can only be exchanged for another king).
  5. A mattress that has mould, dirt, stains, smells, bug infestations or has been damaged or soiled in anyway will be exempt from the Comfort Guarantee and unable to be exchanged. The final decision on the mattress is at the discretion of the store.
  6. The mattress must be used on an appropriate bed frame/base. Solid timber slats should be no more than 9cm apart. The use of a soft, sagging or a non-supportive base such as bowed posture slats or narrow tubing, which in our reasonable opinion is not supportive, will void the 60 Night Comfort Guarantee and the guarantee/warranty of the mattress. Sleep Doctor reserves the right to inspect the bed frame/base.
  7. If the replacement mattress selected has a higher RRP than the original mattress, the customer must pay the difference prior to the exchange taking place. It is up to the discretion of the store as to whether the sale price is held or RRP is applied. If the replacement mattress selected is priced at a lower RRP than the original mattress, an in-Store credit will be given. Store credits from the 60 Night Comfort Guarantee can only be used in store with a minimum spend of $1,000.
  8. A comfort exchange service fee will be charged to customers for every exchange of a mattress. Comfort exchange service fees are as follows:
    a) Super King: $350
    b) King: $300
    c) Queen, Double King Single $250
    d) Long Single $200 – Adjustable mattresses only, long single standard mattresses are considered custom-made.
    e) Single: $150
  9. This policy applies to standard mattresses only. Custom-made orders or sales of floor stock mattresses are exempt from the Guarantee. Custom-made orders include mattresses made to non-standard sizes (e.g., caravan mattresses) and zipper/Velcro mattresses.
  10. If any of the above conditions are not met, the ’60 Night Comfort Guarantee’ will be declined. The final decision to exchange mattresses is at the discretion of the store.
  11. The 60 Night Comfort Guarantee applies to the following Sleep Doctor stores; Batemans Bay NSW, Bundall QLD, Fyshwick ACT, Pambula NSW.
